| wait? |
[Nov. 4th, 2009|05:54 pm] |
I cant believe people can make you wait for more than an hour. It does not helps when I cannot stand for long due to my injury. Its ok if earlier you told me that you going to be late, but throughout the whole sms conversation the only thing you mentioned was:
"sorry to make you wait", "nak sampai nak sampai", "dah dekat ni"
and you repeat it over and over again.
Let me put this on chronogical order: The order of the day was to have a photoshoot at Botanical Gardens on 04/10/09 at 1.30pm. She mentioned that she had to do something first before meeting up with me. Tuesday night, she confirmed with me and we agreed to meet up at Orchard MRT on the 4th Oct at 1.30pm.
On Wednesday, I was up at abt 11. I was discussing with her if she wants to pillon instead of going public. She did not want to. For me, I made plans with another friend to meet up at a later time ard 3 or 4pm. So right before I went to shower, she told me she cant make it at 1.30pm and to meet up at 3pm instead. I told her I couldnt coz i had other plans.
She told me that today its the day she would be free to do a shoot and our days are unpredictable to meet up again for a shoot. After much thought, I decided to meet up with her at 3pm and postpone my other plans. Yes, I was not force to change my plans.
2.45pm, she asked me if i was out and I told her yes and chang the meet up place at Somerset MRT. She replied ok. By that time, I was already warming up my bike and en route to my work place for free parking. I reached my work place at 3pm and made my way to Somerset MRT and told her to meet up at Somerset MRT Control station. She said OK but she told me she got caught in the rain. That was 3.10pm.
When I was there, I didnt expect much. I bought myself Milk Tea from 7-11 and waited. and waited. and waited.and waited. Text her and asked her where is she? she said she is reaching. Ok.
Waited. Called her. She didnt pick up. Text her asked her. Where are you? She replied. Sorry to make you wait. I be there. Nearing somerset.
Waitied. At 3.50pm, she told me she was already at Dhoby Ghaut changing trains. Knowing that she will take NEL, she would have to walk to get to the North South Line to get to Somerset.
I looked at the time, it was 4pm. She told me she is STILL on the way and said sorry countless time abt having to make me wait. I could not take it any longer and I took que from the trains. I text her at 4.05pm, "Next train comes and you are not here. I head home"
Arrival of the trains and no sign of her. At 4.13pm, I walked away. Text her nicely. I am not there anymore.
You be the judge. |

| Durrah's Graduation (Part 2 dated 03/06/09) |
[Jun. 11th, 2009|11:32 am] |
so the day came for the little girl. The actual graduation ceremony or what they call COMMENCEMENT. Dont ask me, they been mentioning that often during the ceremony. Nothing spectacular about the commencement but it was awesome special and emotional for Durrah and her other 58 graduates. So anyway, on my side of the day, I learn a lot on indoor event photography and what to take note. You could see few mistakes here and there. enough talking. Here are the photos... ( ++ )

| Durrah's Graduation (Part 1 dated 02/06/09) |
[Jun. 9th, 2009|11:22 pm] |
Few months back, a good friend of mine, Durrah, had approached me and told me about her graduation that was due in early June. Excited as she was, she then asked me if I was willing to be her photographer for her memorable event. I was like YEAH! but deep in my heart i know, events and portraits are not my cup of tea. But i made a vow that I try every form of photography available. The day came and I was nervous as hell. It was the first time that my photography skills was tested and it was scary shit. I didnt know what to do. I didnt know what to do. Lucky. I had the best subjects to work with. And from my works, you can tell why. Now I let the pictures do the talking..... |
